BOKEH

Copied from Wikipedia:

In photography, bokeh is the blur,[1][2] or the aesthetic quality of the blur,[3][4][5] in out-of-focus areas of an image, or "the way the lens renders out-of-focus points of light."[6] Differences in lens aberrations and aperture shape cause some lens designs to blur the image in a way that is pleasing to the eye, while others produce blurring that is unpleasant or distracting— "good" or "bad" bokeh, respectively.[1] Bokeh occurs for parts of the scene that lie outside the depth of field. Photographers sometimes deliberately use a shallow focus technique to create images with prominent out-of-focus regions.
Bokeh is often most visible around small background highlights, such as specular reflections and light sources, which is why it often associated with such areas.[1] However, bokeh is not limited to highlights, as blur occurs in all out-of-focus regions of the image.

Baby Colton

I went to photograph baby Colton today! He was an angel for me! He slept almost the entire session, had a small milk break and was back asleep for us! Thanks Lauren for allowing me to capture these memories for you!

My parents Christmas gift

My parents have been complaining about needing new artwork for their house as long as I can remember. I saw this idea on a blog that I read and thought that I should try it out! I love how it came out. It is being printed in a 10x20 and I am framing it in a beautiful black frame. Lets hope they like it!

The Goodwin Family

I had the pleasure of shooting the Goodwin families Christmas portraits. Was sure was a challenge! Not only does the family have an 11 month old little girl, but add two huskies to the mix and it was definitely a workout! Marlee did great and had adorable little smiles for me! Thanks Cassie and Adam for the opportunity to photograph your family!

My latest attempt at a self portrait!

For some reason I can't seem to take a portrait of myself without the ridiculous head tilt. HAHA What is the deal with that?

Christmas 2009!

Just a few snaps of things during the Christmas holiday! Enjoy!
